1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using https://lingolabkorean.net (the “Website”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. Description of Service
The Website provides AI-powered sentence and word study. Visitors can test features temporarily. Registered users get daily study limits. Monthly subscribers can use folders, tokens, and extra features. Current prices are on our Pricing page. Displayed prices exclude tax. Paddle, our Merchant of Record, adds VAT or sales tax based on your country at checkout, and the final amount is shown before you pay.
3. User Accounts
You are responsible for keeping your account and password confidential and for activity under your account.
4. Use of Third-Party AI
Study features are powered by AI. Results may not always be perfect. The service depends on external servers and may be delayed or temporarily unavailable.
5. Data Storage
Guest attempts may stay only in your browser. Subscriber folders and study records are stored in our system. Clearing browser data can still remove guest-only records.
6. User Conduct
You agree not to send automated or abusive requests that overload the service, and not to disrupt the Website.
7. Limitation of Liability
The Website is provided “as is”. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service or error-free AI output.
8. Payments, cancellation, and refunds
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Your purchase is also subject to Paddle’s Buyer Terms.
Subscriptions. Your monthly subscription starts as soon as your payment is confirmed, and your monthly base tokens are added to your account immediately. You can use the service until the end of the billing period you paid for.
Cancellation. You can cancel at any time from the Tokens page or through Paddle’s customer portal. Cancellation stops the next renewal: you will not be charged again, and you keep access and your tokens until the end of the current billing period. Before that date you can undo the cancellation.
No refunds. All payments (subscriptions and token packs) are non-refundable. We do not give full, partial, or prorated refunds for unused time or unused tokens, including after cancellation.
Immediate digital delivery. Tokens and subscription features are digital content supplied immediately after payment. At checkout you expressly request immediate supply and acknowledge that you lose any statutory right of withdrawal once supply has begun.
Your statutory rights. Nothing in this policy limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law in your country, such as a right of withdrawal that has not been lost or a remedy if the service is faulty or not as described. Where the law requires a refund, one will be given.
Paddle. Payments and refunds are processed by Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record. Paddle may, at its own discretion, grant refunds under its Buyer Terms and Refund Policy. If a purchase is refunded or charged back, the tokens granted by that purchase are removed from your account. See Paddle’s Buyer Terms and Refund Policy. Questions: info@lingolabkorean.net, or contact Paddle at paddle.net.
This policy applies to purchases made on or after 27 September 2026 (2026-09-27). Purchases made before that date remain subject to the refund policy in effect when they were made.
Full details are on our Refund Policy. At checkout you must confirm a consent checkbox agreeing to these Terms and the Refund Policy and to immediate supply of the digital service.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. Before a change takes effect, we email members and post a notice on the site at least 7 days before the effective date, or at least 30 days before it for changes that are unfavorable to members, together with a before-and-after comparison. Revised terms apply from their effective date. If you do not agree, you may cancel your subscription or delete your account before then.
10. Account deletion
Access stops as soon as you delete your account. For 7 days the email is on hold: you cannot sign in or create a new account with it. Account data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy, and payment records are kept for the period required by law. Refund requests are handled as described in article 8 and our Refund Policy.
11. Cookies
The Website uses strictly necessary cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in, count and charge your study usage, and run secure checkout. Optional categories (functional, analytics and advertising) are used only if you allow them in the cookie banner or later under “Cookie settings” in the footer. Details are in our Cookie Policy.
12. Community rules and enforcement
Effective November 16, 2026.
When you post in the Community you agree to our Community Guidelines (available in 22 languages). In particular, the following are violations:
- Racism or ethnic hate: slurs, "go back to your country", mocking someone's ethnicity or skin colour.
- Sexism or gender hate: demeaning people because of their gender, "women/men can't learn languages".
- Insulting or harassing members: name-calling, mocking someone's Korean, repeated unwanted messages, ganging up on someone.
- Hate based on religion, disability, nationality, sexual orientation or age: slurs, mocking beliefs, calling a group inferior.
- Threats or violence: threatening to hurt someone, praising violence, encouraging self-harm.
- Sexual or explicit content: nudity, sexual messages or images; any sexual content involving minors is reported to the authorities.
- Spam, ads and scams: repeated posts, unrequested ads, links or referral codes, phishing, money or crypto schemes.
- Impersonation: pretending to be another member, a teacher, our staff or LingoLab Korean.
- Posting other people's personal information: real names, phone numbers, addresses, photos or private messages without consent.
- Illegal content: selling drugs, weapons or fake documents, or promoting other illegal activity.
- Copyright infringement: posting textbooks, paid courses, videos or other people's work you have no right to share.
- Harmful misinformation: false health, safety, visa or exam information presented as fact.
- Groundless defamation of the company or service: false claims about LingoLab Korean without evidence (for example "they steal card data"). Honest reviews, criticism and bug reports are welcome.
- Evading a suspension: creating or using another account after your account was suspended.
A reported post or comment is hidden while it is reviewed. Only the site operator decides whether it breaks these rules; automated tools only flag content for that review.
- 1st and 2nd confirmed violation: a warning email.
- 3rd confirmed violation: a suspension notice email and immediate account suspension (you can no longer sign in or use the service).
- Subscribers are suspended immediately regardless of the remaining subscription period. The renewal is cancelled and no refund is given for the unused period, except where the law requires it.
A violation decision applies to the account. A suspended member may not create or use another account.
